The Story Behind the Forest
The Forest Within carries the story of my past couple of years. When censorship and doubt pulled me out of rhythm, I felt surrounded by shadows. Slowly, through 95 hours of graphite shading, I found my way back, layer by layer, building a forest out of tone and texture.
In this mythic garden of the mind, fear and beauty grow side by side. The drawing, like the adventure you've just experienced, explores how our attention shapes the world we inhabit.
